Jack McDowall (June 26, 1905 – May 25, 1969) was an American football player. He was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1975.

McDowall played the halfback position at North Carolina State. With the Southern Conference in its early stages of college football, Mcdowall provided NC State fans with speed, toughness, and versatility. Jack played high school ball in Gainesville, Florida at Rockingham HS. In 1925, in McDowall's sophomore season the Wolfpack posted a 3-5-1 mark. Though his senior season his squad went 9-1. Jack left NC State and went to become the head coach and athletic director at Rollins College, a post he held for 29 years.
